Jean Leon (Farrow) Adrian, daughter of Daniel William and Cora Pearl (Barnes) Farrow, was born in Michigan's Upper Peninsula Marquette County, Negaunee Township, on 25 Dec 1906.
At some time before Jean had reached the age of 3, her father moved the family to Michigan's Lower Peninsula, settling first in Peaine Township, Charlevoix County, Michigan. His occupation was wood chopper at the lumber camp.

During the 1910's, Jean would be joined in the family by two siblings: a brother, Archie*, born inn 1910 and a sister, Vera, born in 1912. The family moved once again and by 1920 had settled at a new home on Third Street in Onaway, Presque Isle County, Michigan.

On 12 Aug 1929, at the age 22 Years, 7 Months, 18 Days, Jean was united in marriage to Ernest Charles Adrian, son of Henry John Adrian and Mary Anna Egenriether.

Jean and Ernest had one son, Conrad Ray Adrian, whom the Lord called back home on the same day as his birth, 05 Jul 1930. His is buried with his father in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ernest and Jean spent their entire lives in Rogers City where Jean owned and operated Jean's Gift Shop for many years. Her husband was employed at Calcite as time keeper for forty years retiring in 1968.

*Archie was the nephew of Daniel and Cora. Archie's parents were Bert H. Farrow and Lena Arno. His mother died shortly after his birth from Tuberculous and his father was very ill from Diabetes and passed in 1920. In the 1910 census records, Archie is living with his parents in Central Lake, Antrim County. In the 1920 census, Archie is living with Daniel and is incorrectly listed as his son. In the 1930 census, Archie is still living with Daniel but is listed as his nephew. In 1934 Archie was married in Ingham County and he has Bert and Lena Arno Farrow listed as his parents on the marriage license. Information about Archie provided by Findagrave contributor Diana Popp.
