Mrs. Charles Luebbe Funeral at Worms -

Mrs. Anna Luebbe, age 75, died Wednesday, December 19, at a hospital in Grand Island.  She had lived in the Worms community for many years...

Anna Horstman was born Aug. 2, 1887 in Merrick County, the daughter of John and Christine Hargens Horstman.  Her mother died when she was an infant and she was raised by her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Witt of Worms.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church at Worms....

She was married to Charles H. Luebbe on October 3, 1906 at the Worms Lutheran church.  They made their home on a farm one mile south of Worms where they lived until three months ago when they moved to Chapman.  She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church at Worms and a member of the Dorcas Ladies Aid of the church.

She is survived by her husband Charles; two sons, Fred and Arthur of Worms; five daughters, Edna and Evelyn of Chapman, Esther Elizabeth of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Leo Neubert and Mrs. Glenn Schimmer of Grand Island; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Wolfe of Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Mrs. Dr. J. F. Hoeft of Grand Island, and a brother Henry Horstman of Grand Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents and two brothers.
