Ruby was born Feb. 14, 1917, in Leitchfield, Ky., the daughter of Claude L. and Levae May Probus McCormick. She married Alfred H. Carls on April 28, 1938, in Covington, Ind. He survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Robert, Lee, Ray, Bill, Gene and Framer; a sister, Ida Fisher; and two great-grandchildren.
Ruby was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Flanagan, and a member of the women's circle at the church.
Ruby was a wonderful mother and grandmother, fun loving and a diehard Republican.
