Leva M. McCormick, 90, of 834 Maple, who had recently been living at Lida Home, died February 21, 1983 at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator, Ill. She was born May 5, 1892 in Leitchfield. She was the daughter of William R. and Frances Meredith Probus. She married Claude Lee McCormick May 26, 1908 in Leitchfield. He died June 17, 1967. Three sons, five brothers and one sister also preceded her in death. Surviving are four sons, Robert of Minonk, Hewlee of Manito, William of Peoria and Kenneth of Washington; three daughters, Ida Fischer of Minonk, Ruby Carls of Flanagan and Grayce Haning of East Peoria; 24 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
Services were held February 24, 1983 at the Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home, by the Rev. William Paler with burial in the Minonk Cemetery.
