Funeral services for Eleneta "Neta" Doughty, 79, of Muskogee will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at McLain Cemetery with William Flynn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Mrs. Doughty was born December 2, 1929 in Harris, Arkansas the daughter of Everett and Sarah (Burnette) Morrison and died November 11, 2009 in Muskogee. She married Gene Doughty in 1972 in Winterhaven, California. She was a homemaker and did home decorating for many years. She also enjoyed raising Chihuahuas, which led to her meeting and making many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene, and two sons, Leo and Pat. Survivors include four children: John Mattingly and wife Regina of White Oak, TX, Richard and wife Jean Mattingly of Muskogee, Sarah and husband Jack George of Checotah, Eleneta Walters of Muskogee; step children, JoAnn Cowden and husband, Clifford, Kathy Garland and husband Dale, and Marsha Presson and husband Harry; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and her good friend Marsha Taylor.
