Robert F. Black, 75, of Maddensville Pike, Orbisonia, PA, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. Born September 18, 1934 in Clay Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, he was a son of James Wilday & Mary C. (Everhart) Black. He is survived by a long time friend, Ruth House, of Rockhill Furnace. He is also survived by the following siblings; Helen Roberts of RD, Three Springs, PA, James Edgar Black of Chambersburg, PA, Evelyn LaFern Black of Woodland Retirement Community, Orbisonia, PA and Doris Jean Arnold of RD, Three Springs, PA. Mr. Black was a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church, RD, Three Springs, PA. He was also a member of Waterfall Lodge #773, I.O.O.F., Waterfall, PA, Cromwell Lodge # 572, Orbisonia, PA, Harrisburg Consistory and the Jaffa Shrine, Altoona, PA. He retired in 1985 from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Dale Edgin and Rev. Ed Seely officiating. Interment, Cherry Grove Cemetery, RD, Three Springs, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 6-8 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Waterfall Lodge #773 I.O.O.F. will conduct a memorial service at 7:45 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with Cromwell Lodge #572 following at 8:00 PM.
