John Simon Braddy was the son of Seaborn & Julia Peacock Braddy. He was born 15 March 1885 in Teloga, Chattooga county, Georgia. He was the younger brother of Doyle Dawson Braddy, (1874-1918), Mary Ida Braddy (Gilreath) (1882-1977), and older brother of James Cooper Braddy (1887-1970), and Tillman Ross Braddy Sr. (1890-1974). When John was 26 he married 17 year old Helen Busbee Braddy on May 7 1911. She turned 18 a few weeks after. They would be married 33 years until her death at age 51 in 1943. They were parents of Howard C., Jackie "Finabee", James Tillman, and Mary Ida Braddy. John worked and retired with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad as a "Coach Builder/Carpenter". He died 24 January 1954 in Ware county Georgia.
