"Myria Parks was in Omaha a week ago last Friday and when she returned home last Monday evening she sure surprised some of her friends by getting married to Ole Rasmussen of Madison, Wisconsin and last Tuesday evening a good crowd of friends got together and gave them a chivari. The boys sure got their treats. Mr. Rasmussen will do farming.

There was a wedding at Onawa Wednesday that is of interest to Dickinson county people. At the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. John Dingwall, occurred the marriage of J. Parkes [Parks] and Miss Mira Jones. The bride is the daughter of O.S. Jones. She has spent all her life in Spirit Lake and on a farm near Lake Park.
Mira is a young lady of excellent character and will make a helpful wife and happy home. The groom is a prosperous young farmer of good standing. Mr. and Mrs. Parkes will make a home in Pender, Nebraska. Oren went down to Onawa to attend the the wedding and see that the young people were properly started in life.

Myria Parks was in Omaha a week ago last Friday and when she returned she sure surprised some of her friends by getting married to Ole Rasmussen of Madison Wisconsin and last Tuesday Evening a good crowd of friends got together and gave them a chivari.
