Charles F. Miller Sr., 78, of Gettysburg R. 3 died Sunday morning at his home.

He was born in Luray, Va., the son of the late Noah S. and Lelia Nicholeson Miller. He was a member of the Gettysburg Brethren Church and was self employed as a logger and farmer in Adams County.

Survivors include: his wife, Daisy D. Diehl Miller; five children, Mildred Jacoby of Gettysburg R. 4, Charles F. Miller Jr., of Gettysburg R. 3, Doris Rider of Gettysburg R. 7, Harold E. Miller of Orrtanna R. 1, and Marie Yingling of Gettysburg R. 3; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Miller of Biglerville R. 2; two sisters, Easter Raynes of Luray, and Sadie Raynes of Manassas, Va., and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Monahan Funeral Homes in Gettysburg with his son, Harold E. Miller, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening.
