Mrs. George H. Beatty, one of our aged citizens, was called to rest Friday evening just at the setting of the sun. She was always a lady of quiet and retirement, and was only ill from natural complaints at her age, which was 81yrs 1mo 20 days. A husband and four children survive her: L.C. of Trenton, Miss Josephine at home, George Jr., and Mrs. Marcella Kirk of Pa.
It may be recalled that in 1888 during the blizzard Mr. and Mrs. Beatty celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Beatty looked as in bloom as when a bride of 22,and took great interest in showing the younger generation who were present her Art of Spinning.
