Dawn M. Lancour, passed away shortly after arrival at St. Francis Hospital on July 5, 2009 from complications of cancer while home visiting family.

She was born on December 22, 1956 in Milwaukee, WI. Dawn was raised in Escanaba and graduated from Escanaba High School in 1975.

On June 9, 1977, she married J. Floyd Lancour in Escanaba.

In October of 1980, they moved to Grandview, MO and had resided there since.

She was employed by the IRS as a Supervisor in the Kansas City Processing Center since 1981.

Dawn enjoyed romance novels, knitting, and for many years raised Sheltie puppies.

Dawn was survived by her spouse Joseph Lancour of Grandview, MO; mother, Dolores Kirkpatrick of Escanaba; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Makosky of Escanaba; three brothers, Warren Kirkpatrick of Escanaba, David Kirkpatrick of Shawnee, KS, and Robert Kirkpatrick of Paola, KS; sister, Wanda (James) Hart of Iron Mountain, MI; aunts, Donna Volpe of Escanaba and Evelyn Nuoffer of West Bend, WI; and her beloved niece and nephews, Emily Hart, Brennen Hart and Taylor Kirkpatrick.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Kirkpatrick; uncle, Daniel Makosky; and maternal grandfather, Theodore Makosky.
