KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Joseph Floyd Lancour passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at the nursing home in Kansas City at the age of 79. He was born March 29, 1933, to William and Eva Lancour in Osier, Mich. He was one of 17 children. Joseph went to school in Rapid River and served four years in the military. His wife, Dawn, passed away July 5, 2009.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Yvonne Montgomery; and five brothers, William, Ronald, Norman, Keith, and Dale.

Survivors include four sons, Joe, Jeff, Jay, Jim; and three daughters, Jeanne Branstrom, Jill Plouff, and Julie Pegan. Also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by eight sisters, Lurline Pepin, Phyllis DeRouin, Lela (Phil) Dubord, Leola (Bill) Wiltzius, Theresa Deiter, Rita (Elmer) Aho, Wanda Orava, and Judy (Dick) Eagle; and two brothers, Wayne (Carol) Lancour, and Tom (Betsy) Lancour; and many nieces and nephews.

He also had three faithful caregivers, Laura, Vacha, and Anita.

Burial will take place in Gardens of Rest Cemetery
