Dolores Makosky Kirkpatrick, 79, passed away on a Tuesday evening, at UP Health Systems - Marquette.

She was the daughter of Theodore and Dorothy (Waterstradt) Makosky. Dolores was a 1955 Escanaba High School graduate and also attended classes at Bay de Noc Community College.

On Jan. 28, 1961, Dolores married Wayne Kirkpatrick at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1968.

Dolores was a lifelong member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church and was involved with Pioneers, flower care, dartball league and volunteering in the office. She was a part-time grill cook at McDonalds for many years and also worked as a crossing guard on Lincoln Road for 20 years until her retirement in 1997.

Survivors include her four children, Robert Kirkpatrick, David Kirkpatrick, Warren Kirkpatrick and Wanda (James) Hart; two grandsons, Taylor Kirkpatrick and Brennen Hart; a granddaughter, Emily Hart; and two sisters, Donna Volpe, and Evelyn Nuoffer.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Lancour, and three brothers, Warren, James and Daniel.

Visitation at the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Funeral service with Pastor Paustian officiating. Burial in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
