Thomas D. Meldrum Jr., 65, of York Township, died at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Alberta A. (Sterner) Meldrum.

The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Meldrum was born Jan. 21, 1931, in York. He was the son of the late Thomas D. and Helen (Rupp) Meldrum.

He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a life member of National Rifle Association.

Mr. Meldrum also is survived by a son, Michael D. Meldrum Sr. of Red Lion; two daughters, Kimberly A. Jones of York and Lisa M. Grogan of Pine Tops, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Helen Wallen; and two half brothers, Terry Angell and David Angell, both of York.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Jim Ward.
