Married to Rachel Julia Shoberg Kallman, b 20 Feb 1856, Sweden; d 4 Jan 1944, Everett, Snohomish, Washington. She came to this country when she was 4 years old.
Fritz Axel came to America in 1870. He worked on the Levi Shank farm with his brother, John. In 1875 He returned to Rattvik for a visit. Fritz worked as a carpenter while living in Minneapolis. He homesteaded 640 acres of land in Lincoln County in eastern Washington State and raised wheat and cattle on it. This is where the family was raised. When he retired to Everett, Washington, his son, Arthur Axel (Art) purchased the farm.
Fritz's death certificate lists him as a carpenter, so apparently he worked at that trade again after retiring to Everett, Washington.
