Sarah Elizabeth (Dicus) Fairchild Alexander was born on July 16, 1914 in Alendale, Illinois. She was the daughter of Erie Benjamin Dicus and Sarah R. Banks Dicus. She passed away Nov. 11, 1991 in Rushville, Illinois. Sarah was a member of the Methodist Church.

She married Rev. Arthur Fairchild on Dec. 24, 1928 in Grayville, Illinois. He passed away on Jan 22, 1955 in Rushville. She married H. Marion Alexander on Jul 28, 1961 in Columbus, Adams Co., Illinois. They lived in Plymouth for many years, but after retiring, they resided in the Rushville and Bowen communities. He survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters, a daughter, Betty Lou Fairchild; and grandson, David Lee Bennett.

She is survived by daughters, Sarah Myers of Bowen, Nancy L. Bennett-Steele of Manchester, and a son, Robert A. Fairchild of Macomb, Illinois. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, six great-grand and four great-step grandchildren; a brother, Junior Dicus of Olney and two sisters, Rosa Spencer of Mt. Carmel and Margaret Greismer of St. Francisville.
