Services were held in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home chapel Tuesday afternoon for Herman Simpson Dycus, 61, who died at his home here on Sunday, March 1. The Rev. Floyd V. Brower officiated and burial was in Maple cemetery.
Mr. Dycus was born in Dyer county, Tenn. on June 28, 1902, the son of James H. and Madie Dycus. The family moved to Hayti when he was born and he was graduated from the high school there. He was employed at Brown Shoe Company until he retired because of his health.
Survivors include a brother, Jim Dycus of Rutherford, Tenn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Reeves of Caruthersville and Mrs. Lilly Norman of Bragg City.
