Graveside services were held Saturday, June 13,at 11 a.m. at Olive Hill Cemetery, Coffeen, the Rev. Eugene Dunkley, pastor of Coffeen Free Methodist Church, officiating. Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Elmore was born on Nov. 21,1913, in Highland, the daughter of the late Fred and Mary(Keiser)Johanntosettel. She grew up in New Douglas and graduated from Livingston High School. She then moved to Coffeen where she lived for over 70 years.
She married Earl Elmore in 1934 in Coffeen and he preceded her in death in 1963.
Mrs. Elmore worked for Dr. Bradley, Hillsboro Glass, and the Dress Factory in Hillsboro.
She is survived by four children, Carol(husband Don) Roach of Mulberry Grove, Tom Elmore of Irving, James Elmore and Gene(wife Sandra) Elmore both of Coffeen;10 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Elmore was preceded in death by a son, Art Elmore;a son-in-law,Fred Newcum; a daughter-in-law, Donna Elmore; one sister, Norma Meier.
