LYDIA STERNER,74, of NEAR BRODBECKS DIES: Mrs. Lydia Baugher Sterner, 74, widow of Ira M. Sterner, died suddenly yesterday Sunday, June 30, 1957 at 8:30 a.m. at her home, Brodbecks RD 1 near here after an illness of several years. Death was due to a heart condition. A resident of this area for the past 48 years, Mrs. Sterner was a member of Black Rock Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are: Five children, Paul L. Sterner, Loganville; Mrs. Samuel K. (Mary) Sweitzer, Glen Rock, RD 3; Stewart W. Sterner, Myerstown, Pa.; and Mabel V. Sterner and Noah L. Sterner, both at home; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Joel Baugher, Manchester, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Maria Fuhrman of Lititz, Pa. & Mrs. Melvin (Rosa) Fuhrman, Brodbecks, Pa.
Rev. Noah Sellers, her pastor and Rev. Joseph Baugher of York, a Church of the Brethren minister, will officiate at the funeral on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, with concluding services at the Black Rock church. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the Black Rock Church of the Brethren.
