On Dec. 30, 1924 he was united in marriage to Frances Anderson. Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. One daughter, DeLette (Mrs. Richard Patrick) preceded him in death in 1963.
Mr. Affeldt passed away at Douglas County hospital in Alexandria, Oct. 16, 1969 at the age of 69 years. He is survived by his wife, Frances; two sons and four daughters: Roger Affeldt of Alexandria; Marlin Affeldt of Fargo, Wanda (Mrs. Ordell Braaten) of Starbuck; DeLoyce (Mrs. Keith Torstenson) of Brandon; Ardys (Mrs. Philip Pantlin) of Kalispel Mont; Maddeen Affeldt of Alexandria. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and one great grandchild; two sisters: Louise (Mrs Albert Pede) of Balton, Calif.; Rose (Mrs. Joe Schmdit) of Sawyer, N.D.
He was preceded in death by one brother William in 1963 and one daughter, DeLette.
Funeral services were held Oct. 20 in Calvary Lutheran church in Alexandria, Rev. Wm. Bruggeman officiating. Interment was in Kinkead cemetery, Alexandria, Minn. Pallbearers were Arthur Affeldt, Raymond Affeldt, Fred Affeldt, Odell Braaten, Keith Torstenson, Richard Patrick.
