James Richard Burt Jr. 86, of Enos, Oklahoma passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 at the hospital in Madill. Jim was born on December 4, 1922 in Nuyaka, Oklahoma to the late James Richard Burt Sr. and Alice Thompson Burt.
He was raised in Nuyaka before joining the United States Army where he served in the Philippines. Jim married Georgia Pauline Goodmon on May 25, 1946 and she preceded him in death on October 5, 1977. Jim later married Betty Joe Fleming on January 16, 1981 in Gainesville, Texas.
He attended Okmulgee Tech where he received his degree in Diesel Mechanic's. He lived in California, Oklahoma City, Pauls Valley and Healdton working in the Oil Field for Dowell before retiring and moving to Enos in 1982. Jim was a member of the Elk's Lodge and the Pentecostal Faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and being with his grandchildren.
