Mrs. V. C. Cleek Services Here Tuesday At 2
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at two at the Sweet Chapel in Orland for Mrs. Myra Norris Cleek, who died at the Enloe Hospital, Chico last Friday evening. Mrs. Cleek had been in ill health for a number of years and was taken to the hospital a week ago.
Myra Norris Cleek was born in Orland on October 6, 1885, and had lived her entire life in Orland. She is survived by her husband, Vince Cleek, two children, Mrs. Thelma Foltz and Norris Cleek, both of Orland; her mother, Mrs. Frances Norris of Red Bluff, two sisters, Mrs. Dora Thomas of Red Bluff and Mrs. L. A. Dunning of Paradise. Five grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive her.
The services will be in charge of Rev. Oran W. Swaback, pastor of the Orland Evangelical Free church, of which Mrs. Cleek was an active member. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery.

Mrs. V. C. Cleek Dies Friday in Chico
Mrs. Myra Norris Cleek died Friday evening in Enloe hospital, Chico, where she had been under treatment for seven days, following several weeks of declining health.
She was a native of Orland, having been born on a ranch east of town October 6, 1885, and had lived in this section all of her life. She had been active in the social life of the community, and a prominent member of the Evangelical Free church here.
Surviving her are her husband, Vincent C. Cleek; one son, Norris Cleek, and one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Foltz, all of Orland; a brother, H. E. Norris, Red Bluff; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Thomas, Red Bluff, and Mrs. L. A. Dunning, Paradise and her aunt, Miss Bertha Downen, of Orland. There are also five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sweet chapel in Orland, with the Rev. Oran Swaback in charge. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery here.

Funeral services were held at the Sweet mortuary chapel, Tuesday afternoon, for Mrs. V. C. Cleek, who died Friday at Enloe hospital. The chapel was banked with quantities of beautiful flowers in evidence of the affection of her friends and relatives.
The casket bearers were her nephews, Irving Cleek, J. V. Cleek, Stuart Cleek and Orrin Hall, and her grandsons, Vincent Cleek and Glenn Foltz.
The Rev. Oran Swaback of the Evangelical Free church conducted the rites at the mortuary and at the Odd Fellows cemetery where burial took place. – Transcribed by E.
