HESTER ANN "AUNT HETTIE" BRYARLY was born on 10 Oct 1836 in Wilmington, Clinton County, Ohio, and was the daughter of Thomas F. Bryarly & Mary Lupton. She contracted Whooping Cough at the age of four and it caused her to become deaf.
Family stories passed down through the generations depict "Aunt Hettie" as a kind a gentle soul who adored children. She lived with different Great-Nieces in her later years helping them raise their children.
Hester passed away on 17 August 1921 and is buried with her siblings at the Madras Cemetery, Red River County, Texas.
