Ralph Stillman Collins was farmer. He was born in 1890 in Marble Falls, Texas. He was the oldest of six surviving children born to Ida Barber and Uriah Collins. Ralph had a mental disability and lived with his parents much of his life. The family lived in Marble Falls, Vernon, Itasca, and Fisher County Texas and Abilene, Texas. In 1928, Ralph and his parents moved to Hidalgo County in the Rio Grande Valley near the town of Alamo where they had a citrus farm. Sometime after his mother's death in 1933, Ralph was placed in an institution in Austin. At the time of his death, he was living in a nursing home in Fredericksburg, Texas. Ralph never married.
