Linda Lou Baker, 64, of Laurel, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born March 28, 1940 in Andersonville, she was the daughter of Ralph and Frances Annette (Griner) Ryckman, both deceased. She married Irvin Baker on Nov 19, 1965; he preceded her in death on April 9, 1997.

Mrs. Baker lived in the Andersonville area all of her life. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Katherine (Mrs Marvin Raymond) Thackery of Laurel; two brothers, Ralph Ryckman, Jr of Laurel and Tom Ryckman of Connersville; two sisters, Mary (Mrs Doyle) Ingram of Andersonville and Frieda Berninger of Franklin; and one granddaughter.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville, with Harlan Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Rush County. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at the mortuary.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Association.
