Mrs Della Payne, wife of Chas. T. Payne died at her home in this village Monday morning, May 7, 1906, after a brief illness, following a surgical operation performed one day the latter part of last week. A husband and eight children, one a child of only a few days, survive her. The funeral services were to be held at the M. E church Tuesday at 2 o'clock p.m. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved husband and motherless children in this very sad offliction [sic].
