She was the daughter of Robert and Rachel Wolfley enumerated near Edgerton in McHamish township, Johnson, KS in 1870 and 1880 and were the only Wolfley's in the township encompassing the city of Edgerton. The family moves to Lenexa KS in 1881 and then to Olathe KS in 1892. Robert died of typhoid in 1895 and is buried in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Rachel later moved with a married daughter to Snohomish, WA where she is buried. Nettie is the 2nd great grandaunt of President Barack Obama and her sister Della Wolfley Payne is the presidents 2nd great grandmother and is buried in Olathe Memorial cemetery along with their father Robert the Presidents 3rd great grandfather.
