Obituary - Mr. Fletcher Adcock
Funeral services for Mr. Fletcher Adcock, 86, longtime resident of this area, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Ochelata Old High School gymnasium.
The Rev. Arlis Henegar, assisted by the Rev. Marvin Francis and Rev. Roy Carter, will be the officiants and the Arnold Moore Funeral Service will direct interment in the Tyner Cemetery. His casket escorts will include Messrs. Leo Cox, David Thomas, Winfred Gray, Jack Blevins, Ivan Sloan and Oscar Henegar.
Mr. Adcock came from his native Missouri to Oklahoma during Indian Territory days and had farmed extensively in Washington and surrounding counties for many years. While residing in California when he was employed at the Naval Base at Oxnard, he was married in August 1944 to Mrs. Margaret M. Miller and they returned to this vicinity to make their home in 1945. He passed away on Thursday morning following an extended illness.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four sons, Elwood J. Adcock, Delmer M. Adcock, both of Ramona, Fletcher Adcock, Jr. Simi, Calif., and Kenneth Wayne Adcock, Bakersfield, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Mitchell, Edmond, Okla., and Mrs. T. C. Tate, Ochelata; one step-son, Harold V. Lynch, and one step-daughter, Mrs. Clissa Shultz, both of Bartlesville; 28 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Final rites and interment directed by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service.
