Funeral services for Hurtle A. Colburn, 67, were held Saturday, Feb. 23 at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Benson Bexley officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery with George County Funeral Home in charge.
Colburn died Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the VA Hospital in Biloxi following a lengthy illness. Born in Kentucky, he was a resident of Route 5, Lucedale and a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sons, Lee R. Colburn and Wayne Colburn, both of Lucedale, one daughter, Mrs. Linda Lou Martin, Gonzales, La.; two brothers, Leo Colburn, Gulfport, and Harold Colburn, Lucedale; five sisters Mrs. Louise King, Mrs. Margaret Smith, both of Wilmer, Ala., Mrs. Dorothy Bennett, Movella, Mrs. Ruth Robertson, Hammond, La, and Mrs. Billie Sue Utley of Lucedale; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pall bearers were, Allen Denham, Bruce Holland, William Yates, Ed Hollinghead, Steve Holland, and Darrell Williams.
