Charles Henry Back, Sr, of Coatesville
Charles Henny (sic) Back Sr., 73, of Coatesville, died Tuesday Oct. 31, 1995 at Friends Hall, West Chester. He was the husband of Vesta J(ane). Lunny Back.
Born in Collingswood, he was the son of the late Matthew and Florence Moss Back. He was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a shipping clerk for Lenape Forge, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Avondale Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Charles H. Bock, Jr, of Toughkenamon, William E Bock of Petersburg, N.J. and David Bock of Austin; three daughters, Nancy A. Peel of Mountain Home, Ark., Sarah J. Grubb of Cary, N.C., and Carol A. Corey of Phillips, W. Va.; one brother, Matthew Back of West Virginia; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Matthew L. Bock; and one daughter, Kathryn Lippolis.*
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at the Kuzo and Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., State and Meredith Streets, Kennett Square. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Attn: Memorials, 100 N. 17th St., 14th Floor, Philadelphia, Pa 19103.
