Obituary (from the ADVOCATE, published as MORNING ADVOCATE - February 22, 1957 - page 6):

"HARTMAN, MRS. GRACE ANN
Died at the Baton Rouge General Hospital at 5:55 a.m., Feb. 21. A native of East Baton Rouge Parish, she resided on Rt. 5, Baton Rouge, and was a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, William Henry Hartman; one son, Amos Browning Hartman, Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Price and Mrs. Charles C. Spinoza, both of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. M. W. Nolan, Gross Tete; one brother, Leon G. Noble, Baton Rouge; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The body will remain at Rabenhorst Funeral Home until 10 a.m., Feb. 22, when it will be taken to the Sandy Creek Baptist Church for religious services at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Sandy Creek Cemetery.
