"FUNERAL SERVICE FOR JAMES JENNINGS HELD TUESDAY --- Funeral service for James E. Jennings was held Tuesday February 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home in Oroville. Interment was in the Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Leonard Peugh officiated.

James E. Jennings was born January 17, 1878 at Taney County, Missouri. He was married to Bertha Wright in 1907 at Brownbranch, Missouri. He farmed in Taney County until 1916 when he started work for the Frisco Railroad and was employed until 1922. In 1919 due to failing eyesight, he was unable to work and has been totally blind since 1932. He made his home with his son and daughter-in-law in Oroville until moving to the St. Martin's Rest Home in Tonasket three years ago.

He passed away Friday, January 31 at the Rest Home after being in failing health for several years.

He leaves to survive him, one daughter, Mary Charleton, Okanogan; one step daughter, Doris Stebbins, Granada Hills, California; two sons, Delbert and Wilbert Jennings, both of Oroville; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Ford, Kansas City, Missouri and Mrs. Molly Wright, Taney County, Missouri; one brother, Bill Jennings, Taneyville, Missouri; also 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Two sons, Charlie and James, preceded him in death.

Barnes Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements."
