Ada Beatrice Hartgraves Crowell of Ruidoso, New Mexico, died on Thursday, May 15, 2008.

Private Graveside Services were held in Seaside Memorial Park, Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was born August 31, 1913 in Maryneal, Texas. She and Clifford Gordon Crowell were married in Maryneal, Texas May 2, 1937. They lived in Plainview, Texas and Corpus Christi, Texas for many years. She and her late husband owned Crowell's Jewelry in Plainview, Texas for over twenty years and were associated with Parkview General Hospital in Corpus Christi.

Ada was an avid golfer and bridge player. Her friends and family meant the world to her.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, C.G. "Tex" and Mary Ann Crowell of Ruidoso, New Mexico; a son-in-law, Dr. Sam L. Smith of Nacogdoches, Texas; two grandchildren, Summer Loveland of Pasadena, California, Shelley Fredregill of Nacogdoches, Texas and one great grandchild, Skyler Fredregill of Nacogdoches, Texas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kay Smith of Nacogdoches, Texas, nine brothers, and two sisters.
