Mary Matilda and James Francis Tidwell were the parents of fourteen children: William B., Eliza, Sara S., John Pinkney, Dicie, Louie J. Virginia Elizabeth, Columbus David, Elzie E., Mary V., Gertie L., Ida Lee, Charlie F., and Stephen Pierce.

Mrs. Tidwell Dead
Mrs. Tidwell, wife of James F. Tidwell, died at their home near Oneonta last Friday afternoon. Her death was due to a stroke of paralysis. The deceased was about 67 years of age and spent practically all her life in this county. She was a member of the M.E. Church and lived an exemplary christian life. The funeral services were held at old Liberty Cemetery and were conducted by Revs. A.J. Brand and H.C. Bradley.
