Billie Ruth Allen, 71, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka.

She was born in Jacksonville and moved to Satsuma in August 1980. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. She was also a member of Duplicate Bridge Clubs of Welaka and Crescent City.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lewis M. Allen of Satsuma; daughter, Susan A. Raulerson and husband, Wayne of Green Cove Springs; brother, Edward "Bud" Pridgen of Cambridge, Md.; sisters, Jean Whitehurst of Jacksonville, Dot Paulk of Fitzgerald, Ga., Johnnie Lee Mitchell of Lakeland, Quida Roberts of Fitzgerald, Ga., Iris Sidwell of Ellijay, Ga.; granddaughter, Christy Haynes and husband, Mark of Senoia, Ga.

Graveside services will be Saturday, 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion (Swift Creek) Cemetery in Lake Butler.
