Walter H. Allen, 83, 420 N. 19th St., died at his home Tuesday.
He was born Jan. 10, 1904, in Madison County to Emmett and Goldie (Estes) Allen. He married Gladys (Susan) Johnson Oct. 22, 1925. She preceded him in death
Nov. 10, 1982.
He was retired from teaching with the Elwood Community School Corporation. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Kiwanis Club, where he was secretary for many years.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home with the Rev. George Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Elwood City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 8 p.m. today.
