MEMORIAL

Jack was born NW of Rosston, OK in Harper County on the family farm. He was the son of Paul & Iva (Nichols) Bowers and brother of Charles, Merle (Wolf), Marjorie (Henderson), Anna Belle (Cartmill) & Ruby (Newby).

Jack graduated from the Rosston, OK High School in 1939 & then attended Keen Business College in Clinton, OK. In 1940 Jack married Beth Sayre at the county courthouse in Arapaho, OK. To this union was born Beverly Anne (Penrod) & Sandra Lee (Marble).

Jack served as a cook in the US Army during World War II where he was stationed in Germany & later in Japan; Jack was a member of the VFW. Following the war Jack worked as a carpenter in Idaho. He later moved to Pinetop, AZ where he operated a bakery. Later he worked various jobs in Moab, Utah & in West Virginia, Maryland & Oklahoma. Following the death of his parents, Jack moved to Show Low, AZ to be near his daughters. He moved to Tonopah, AZ in 1998. He & his wife, Cora Mae Phillips, lived in Tonopah, AZ, at the time of his death.

Jack was cremated in AZ; his cremains were scattered in that area under the direction of the Buckeye Funeral Home.
