GIDDENS RITES

Martha Jane Ottinger, 86, daughter of James J. and Mary Melvina Ottinger, was born October 26, 1880, in the Frazier community and departed this life January 5, 1967 at the Missouri Methodist Hospital after a short illness.
In early life she was united with the Layman Methodist Church and remained a member until it disbanded. Then in September 1920 she united with the Frazier Baptist Church where she was still a very active member at the time of her death. She also was a charter member of the No. 5 Extension Club.
In January, 1902 she was united in marriage with Ransom Giddens. To this union was born three children, Mrs. Bessie Amos, Agency; Norman Giddens, Agency; and Clyde Giddens, Kansas City.
She is survived by the children, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, Two brothers, T. E. Ottinger, and Clarence Ottinger, both of Gower.

Mrs. Martha Jane Giddens, 86, died this morning at a St. Joseph hospital, she was born in Buchanan county and lived near Frazer her entire life, She was a member of the Frazer Baptist church and the No. 5 Extension Club. She has served of the Republican county committee.
Survivors include two sons, Norman Giddens, Agency, and Clyde Giddens, Kansas city; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Amos, Agency; two brothers, T. E. Ottinger and Clarence Ottinger, both of Gower, Mo; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
