NORMAN GIDDENS

Norman Giddens, 71, 4509 Stonecrest Terrace, died Tuesday afternoon at a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
A native of Gower, Mo., Mr. Giddens had lived most of his life on the family farm in Frazier, Mo. He was a member of the Gower Masonic Lodge No. 398, Moila Temple High 12 Club, Scottish Rite, and the Frazier Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Giddens of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Norman Powell, Chanute, Kan.; on son, John V. Giddens, St. Joseph; one brother, Clyde Giddens, Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Amos, Frazier, and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 Thursday afternoon at the Frazier Baptist Church. Burial will be in Frazier Cemetery. Masonic services will be at 8 Wednesday evening at the Hixson Chapel in Gower.



RURAL HOME IS DESTROYED BY FIRE

A vacant house on the Frazer road,, was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning.
Deputy Sheriff Ray Baker discovered the blaze while on patrol duty, He notified the owner, Norman Giddens, but the flames has gained too much headway to save the structure.
