Agency, Mo.
R. Sam Giddens, 73 years old Agency, retired farmer, died at his home Sunday. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Amos, Agency; two sons, Norman Giddens, Agency, and Clyde Giddens, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Miss Delila Giddens and Mrs. C. C. Holder, both of Agency, and three brothers, William Giddens, Agency, and George and Henry Giddens, both of Gower, Mo. The body will be taken to the home from the Sullins-Murry mortuary, Gower, Mo., Monday.
Final rites for R. (Sam) Giddens, 73 year old Agency resident, will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Frazier Baptist Church. The Rev. J. B. Crenshaw will officiate. Burial will be in the Frazier Cemetery.

The second child of John and Sarah Giddens was Ransom (Sam) Giddens. Ransom was born in 1875 and died in 1949. In January, 1902, Ransom married Martha Jane Ottinger, daughter of James T. and Mary Melvina (Anderson) Ottinger. She was born October 26, 1880 and died January 25, 1967. She was a member of the Layman Methodist Church until it dissolved and later joined the Frazier Baptist Church, Frazier, Missouri. They were blessed with three children: Norman, Bessie and Clyde Argyle Giddens.
