Mr. Burris was a native and resident of Baldwin County. He was employed with McCant Construction Company. He also worked as a carpenter and was formerly employed with Chambers Oil Co. He was preceded in death by his father James William Burris, his mother Betty Ruth Jones Burris Adams and a sister Shirley Harrison.
Survivors include a sister Terrie Lingold (Keith) of Milledgeville, James William Burris, Jr. of Milledgeville, Bobby Burris (Kathy) of Gray, Eddie Burris and Tim Burris both of Milledgeville.
