George Mounts, 93, dies.
George S. Mounts, 93, of 1520 Washington street, died at 5:30 o'clock this morning at the county hospital. He had been ill since October, and entered the hospital Nov. 14.
Mr. Mounts was born in the Lowell Community April 20, 1868, the son of James S. and Mary Akers Mounts, and had spent all his life in Bartholomew county. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the New Hope Christian church.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Henry Schuder, Miss Mabel Mounts, and Mrs. Cecil Mabe, all of Columbus, and Mrs. William Boll of Route 4; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Luella Belle Mounts, July 1, 1959.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Saturday Afternoon at the Hathaway funeral home by the Rev. George Secrist. Burial will be at Rest Haven cemetery in Edinburg. The casket will be open at the funeral home after noon Friday.
