Alberta Marie Anderson, 78, of Arnold died April 26, 2001, at her home.
She was born Sept. 6, 1922, at the family farm in Powell Canyon to Edward H. and Nellie Mae Ransier Koch. She graduated from Arnold High School in 1940.
On Sept. 5, 1942, she married Robert E. Anderson. They rented several small farms in the Arnold area until 1953, when they moved to Boise, Idaho where they spent two years before returning to the Koch farm in Powell Canyon, where they lived until moving to town in the early 1980's.
She worked at numerous jobs to help support the family. She was a bookkeeper in 1968 for Conley-Detlefson Truck Stop in North Platte until she retired in 1984. She stayed busy during her retirement years having pitch parties in her basement. She made yearly trips to the East Coast to visit her grandchildren. She also managed the Riverview Apartments in Arnold until 1998.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband; a son, Rodney (Donna) of Upland; a son-in-law, Ron Boston of Elm Creek, four granddaughters, Ronda (Terry) Broadfoot and Karri Boston, all of Kearney, Jo Lyn (Brian) Erbe of Wall, N.J., and Robin (Dan) Crowley of Elm Creek; two grandsons, Rick Boston of Omaha and Shane Flint of Southern Pine, N.C.; a sister, Thressa "Tret" Morrison of Lincoln; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicky; her parents; three sisters; and three brothers.
