Renee Abrams, 53, of Preble and Marcellus, NY, passed away August 1, 2007. Calling hours will be held Monday 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY 13045. A celebration of Renee's life will be held at a later time.

Renee Abrams an animal and nature advocate of Preble and Marcellus, passed away Aug. 1, 2007 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born Feb. 1, 1954 in Cortland. Renee was raised and educated in Cortland, graduating from Cortland High school. She was a self-employed landscaper operating Creative Gardens. Renee had a great love of the outdoors and nature. She enjoyed caring for animals and her garden. Her passion for life and family and friends will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Duane; daughters, Erin (Tony) Stevens of Cortland and Brittany DiMorier at home; mother, Luise Rosato of Cortland; sister, Linda (William) Kline of Cortland; brother, Danny Rosato of Little York; grandchildren, Anthony, Zachary, Michael, Caitlin and Alex Stevens; nieces, nephews and many friends. Renee was predeceased by her father, Dominick Rosato.
