Carless Allen, 71, of South Lebanon died Aug. 16, 2000, at his home. Born in Clay County, Ken., the son of Herbert and Maggie Allen, he had lived in South Lebanon for nearly 50 years. He was retired as a welder at Southern Ohio Fabricators in Cincinnati, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Eulene (Oldham) Allen, son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Pearl Allen, grandchildren Deanna Burton and Joyce Ann Fisher, Brother Willie Allen, all of South Lebanon, sister Rezonia Cole of Kentucky, half brothers Shorty, James and Johnny Miller and half sisters Clara Derossett, Mae Sunnycalb, and Irene Maloney, all of South Lebanon, and great grandchildren Logan Burton, Brittany Wright and Whitney Fisher. Visitation and funeral service was held Aug. 18, at the Full Gospel Church of God, with the Rev. Larry Isaacs officiating. Burial was in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon. -Western Star Aug 2000
