Jeanette Crook Barnes was born January 7, 1883, in Richardson County, Nebraska, the daughter of S.D. and Alameda (sic) Crook. She passed away December 4, 1963, at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska.
Mrs. Barnes was raised in the Mount Claire neighborhood. She lived most of her life in Omaha before retiring with her husband to Superior a few years ago.
She was married to Bernice W. Barnes in Lincoln, Nebraska in June of 1908. Her church membership was with the Methodist Church in Omaha.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents and 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband and 5 brothers: Robert of Kamas, Washington, Clyde of Lincoln, Arkansas, John of Superior and Walter and Jesse of Denver, Colorado.
