Abraham "Abe" Pletcher Jr., 64, of 3085 Carson Valley Road, Duncansville, died Sunday morning at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus, after a brief illness. He was born in Duncansville, the son of the late Abraham Sr. and Grace (Klink) Pletcher. Surviving are a daughter, Mellissa Curfman of Hanover, Pa.; Shane Cullen, who was raised by Abraham, of DuBois; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers: Gene Pletcher and Vernon Pletcher; two sisters: Bonnie Lenz and Shirley Chamberlain; and a best friend, Patty Cullen. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Abe was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and was self-employed as a heating and air conditioning contractor. He enjoyed gardening and antiques.
