GRAND SALINE - Services for Dale Douthitt, 80, Bagwell, formerly of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday at Eubank Funeral Home chapel, Canton, with Brother Homer Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Creagleville Cemetery, Van Zandt County.Mrs. Douthitt died March 24, 2007, in Paris. She was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Alba to the late Joseph Alex and Syble Mina Horton Waymire. She grew up in Grand Saline and owned and operated Hill Top Café in Grand Saline for several years. She was a Pentecostal, and was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffie "J.D." Douthitt, and brothers, Willard Waymire and Bucky Waymire. Survivors include daughter, Linda Phillips, Bagwell; sons, Lynn Douthitt, Bagwell, Lindley Douthitt, Meridian, Miss., and Ronnie Douthitt, Bogata; sisters, Jo Stanberry, Camden, Ark., and Venita Capps, Sulphur Springs; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers are Jimmy Phillips, Danny Phillips, Rondy Douthitt, Jeff Douthitt, Jimmy White and Rocky Womack. Honorary pallbearers are Travis Phillips and Chris Harwell. Family will receive friends 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
