Graveside services for Venita Capps, age 80 of Sulphur Springs, were at 11 a. m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Macon Cemetery with Rev. Dan Boler officiating. Mrs. Capps was born February 22, 1932 in Grand Saline to Joe Alex Waymire and Sybill Horton Waymire. She was married to Billy Capps. She died Monday, April 9, 2012 in Sulphur Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, a grandson, a great-grandson, a sister and two brothers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo and Juan Dominguez of Avinger and Vanessa and Lancho Lara of Sulphur Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Jana Capps of Mount Vernon and Gary and Donna Capps of Athens. 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, numerous extended grandchildren who thought of her as Meemaw, a sister, Eddie Jo Stanberry of Camden, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Pruitt of Mount Vernon and Bertha Capps of Temple; and numerous nieces and nephews.
