Stanley was retired coal miner and then a hosteler for the railroad.

"Bluefield Daily Telegraph," Monday, April 21, 1958:

"Princeton Man Victim Of Fall Through Window"
Stanley Johnson Apparently Accidentally Slips In Room, Plunging 20 Feet To Death From Apartment On Mercer Street Sunday.
A 59-year-old Princeton man died at 11:50 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital in Princeton, apparently the victim of a fall from a second-story window at his home on Mercer Street.
Stanley T. Johnson, of 517 Mercer Street in Princeton, fell some 20 feet to the sidewalk below, Memorial Funeral Directory representative said, and landed on his head. He suffered a fractured skull and died a little more than three hours after the apparent accident occurred at 8:30 a.m.
Police said the victim was clad only in shorts and had apparently slipped in his room. He fell through the window, taking glass and all with him, and plummeted to the side-walk, officers said.
Johnson was a native of Bluefield, son of the late William and Matilda Calfee Johnson.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. C.M. Compton and Erie Johnson of Princeton; and four brothers, J.W. and S.F. Johnson of Chester, PA, Milton Johnson of Portsmouth, VA, and Errett Johnson of Sanish, ND.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton."
